Steam to Hot Water Conversion - Lakehead District Schoolboard

Conversion of existing steam heating plant to new high efficiency hot water heating plant for school in Northern climate. Design involved the retrofit all mechanical systems within the school, replacement of boiler plant, unit ventilators, radiators, and all new piping system design. A completely new BAS was designed and installed. We achieved a substantial reduction in the central plant size, by performing full load calculations on the school. This was to take advantage of recent envelope upgrades. Occupants now report even heating and greater comfort.
Mechanical Retrofit - Rainforest Exhibit OSC

Atria recently designed system upgrades to the Ontario Science Centre’s Living Earth Rainforest exhibit. This work preserves an example of one of earth’s vital ecosystems and the renewed exhibit continues to provide visitors with an immersive rain forest experience. Restored with enhanced misting system and controls that includes for the addition of indoor simulated rain, there is also the chance for sightings of endangered species like the poison dart frog.
Steam and Hydronic System Design - HVAC, Domestic & BAS

Victoria University, Toronto, ON - Building System retrofits in Heritage Burwash Hall residences. Redesign of central building steam to hydronic heat exchangers and associated pumps and piping, for domestic and heating systems. Revamping of controls to improve efficiency. Full spectrum design, tender, construction inspections and management of the change process.
Building Automation System Design

7 Queens park Crescent, South Frost Building housing the Ministry of Finance, Treasury Board and childcare centre. Replacement of existing VAV box and fan coil unit controls. Update of control sequences to improve efficiency. Preparation of an engineering study to explore options and preparation of full tender package.
Commercial Renovations - Plumbing, HVAC & Fire Protection

15 Victoria Ave, Belleville, ON- Parole and Probation Office. Full design and construction administration. Design of all new supply, return and exhaust ducting. With significant sound attenuation design to meet confidentiality requirements. Plumbing and fire protection systems included in scope.
Air Handling Systems - Multi Unit Residential and Commercial

Nobleview Pines Community Residence, Nobleton, ON - Make Up Air unit replacement in seniors apartment building. Resized new air handlers based on modern codes with addition of cooling to increase comfort. Preparation of full design, participation in the tender process and full contract administration. Certification of substantial completion.
Building Condition Assessments

2700 Aquitaine Avenue, Mississauga, ON – Surveyed all mechanical (HVAC & Plumbing) & fire protection systems, assessed their condition. Provided estimated timelines for repairs and replacement. Outlined any code deficiencies and issues. and provided recommendations to resolve. Developed cost estimates and projections for reserve funds and repairs.
Engineering Studies & Cost Estimates

354 George Street, Toronto, ON - Conducted an Engineering Study of all mechanical systems including: hydronic HVAC system, plumbing and air systems. Managed electrical sub consultant. Supervised and arranged destructive and non-destructive testing.
